This study explores the symbolic significance I see in the numbers 1, 9 and 19, then follows a pattern of three heavens and two realms through the 12-hour and 24-hour clock. It brings together Clock Points, number reduction, Daniel’s three weeks and twenty-one days, Jesus as the Door, and the repeated rhythm of 1 and 2.
As I have continued studying the clock as a symbolic structure, two connected ideas have emerged. The first concerns the numbers 1 and 9, which form 19. The second concerns a pattern of three heavens that I believe can be traced through the numbers and positions of the clock.
The Bible is the foundation of this study, but the clock correspondences are my personal research and symbolic interpretation. Scripture mentions the “third heaven,” angelic conflict and Christ as the Door; it does not directly teach that the clock itself contains a map of heaven. I therefore offer these patterns for prayerful consideration rather than as established biblical doctrine.
Idea One: The Significance of 1, 9 and 19
All whole numbers are built from the digits zero to nine, regardless of how large those numbers become. Within my symbolic framework, however, the movement from one to nine has a particular spiritual meaning.
One: the beginning and the Creator
I associate one with the Creator and the beginning because the Bible opens with God as the One who creates:
“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”
Nine: a signpost to the Spirit
Within my clock research, nine points back to the Spirit—the Spirit superimposed over the structure. This is an interpretive association within the wider Project Clock Codes study, not a numerical definition stated directly in Scripture.
Nineteen at Clock Point 7
When 1 and 9 are merged, they form 19. On a 24-hour clock, 19:00 is 7:00 pm. I therefore place 19 at CP7, meaning Clock Point 7.
The digits of 19 also reduce in stages: 1 + 9 = 10, and 1 + 0 = 1. The number returns to one. In my study, this movement toward a first number also echoes God’s declaration in Exodus 12:2:
“This month shall be your beginning of months; it shall be the first month of the year to you.”
This is how 19, through CP7 and number reduction, leads me back to the recurring pattern of 1 and 7 that I have been tracing from Exodus 12:2.
Nineteen does not remain nineteen in this clock pattern. It rests at the seventh point of the 12-hour face and, through digit reduction, returns to one. For me, this creates a symbolic path from 19 to 7 to 1—from the completed range of digits back to the beginning.
Idea Two: Three Heavens Hidden in the Clock Structure
The phrase “third heaven” appears in Paul’s account in 2 Corinthians 12:2, where he describes a man in Christ who “was caught up to the third heaven.” My clock model explores a possible symbolic arrangement of three heavens within two realms, while recognising that Scripture itself does not lay these realms out on a clock.

Both realms contain levels that will require further explanation in future studies. In this article, I am concentrating first on the three heavens and the number patterns used to uncover them.
The Three Rhythms of 1 and 2
Above the numbers 9 and 3 on the clock, I see three expressions of the same rhythm: 1 and 2.
Mispar katan means “small number” or “small count” and is one of several gematria methods. Traditional descriptions commonly remove zeroes from letter values; a related integral-reduction method repeatedly adds digits until a single digit remains. In this clock study, I use that digit-reduction approach transparently as a mathematical tool: 10 becomes 1, 11 becomes 2, and 19 becomes 1 through 1 + 9 = 10 and 1 + 0 = 1.
- The hidden rhythm: CP10 reduces to 1, while CP11 reduces to 2.
- The subtle rhythm: CP12 can be read visually as the digits 1 and 2.
- The obvious rhythm: CP1 and CP2 already appear openly on the right side of the clock.
Together, these form 1 and 2 three times. In my interpretation, this repeated rhythm reveals the upper Alpha realm, which remains constant while the visible positions around it change.
The Highest-Heaven Pattern and Daniel’s Twenty-One Days
The first level begins with the left-side Clock Points:
This number drew my attention to Daniel. In Daniel 9:21, “the man Gabriel” reaches Daniel while he is speaking in prayer. In the following chapter, Daniel says that he mourned for three full weeks. The messenger then explains that Daniel’s words were heard from the first day, but that the prince of Persia withstood him for twenty-one days until Michael came to help.
“Your words were heard; and I have come because of your words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days.”
The connection I see is between three weeks, twenty-one days, and the addition of 10 + 11. On the 24-hour clock, 21:00 also returns to CP9 on the 12-hour clock face. Within my framework, 21 becomes the final numbered level in this higher pattern of 1 and 2.
Daniel 9 explicitly identifies Gabriel. Daniel 10 describes a heavenly messenger opposed by the prince of Persia, but it does not explicitly name that messenger as Gabriel. Although I previously joined the two passages in my spoken explanation, this article keeps that distinction clear.
The Middle-Heaven Pattern and Jesus as the Door
In this model, the middle heaven acts as a meeting point between the higher and lower realms. I trace it through two calculations on opposite sides of the clock:

When these positions are connected, the lines form an X across the clock. I interpret this crossing place through the words of Jesus in John 10:9:
“I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.”
The English name John comes through the Hebrew name Yochanan or Yehochanan, commonly understood as “the LORD has been gracious.” John has four letters in English, while dalet is the fourth Hebrew letter and carries the numerical value 4; traditional Hebrew teaching also connects dalet with delet, meaning “door.” These language observations do not prove the clock pattern, but they deepen the door imagery that drew my attention to John 10:9.
Hidden, subtle and obvious
- Hidden: the four letters in the English name John, considered beside the fourth Hebrew letter.
- Subtle: the chapter and verse numbers 10 and 9.
- Obvious: Jesus’ own declaration, “I am the door.”
For me, these scattered clues resemble Isaiah’s language of instruction being given piece by piece:
“For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept, line upon line, line upon line, here a little, there a little.”
Dimensions Within the Three Heavens and Two Realms
The hours form the major positions in this model, while minutes and seconds suggest further levels within them. The numbered minute marks run in increments of five from 5 to 60, and the smaller lines mark seconds. This gives the clock a layered structure: hours within the major pattern and minutes and seconds within those levels.
The clockwork metaphor has also appeared in teaching I have heard from Rabbi Jonathan Cahn: the thought that God’s plans and patterns unfold with precise timing. This post does not depend on that observation, but the metaphor helped me describe what I was seeing. A specific source for that wording should be added when identified.
Jesus, the number 3 and the eastward position
In hindsight, I also see a Christ-centred pattern around the number 3. On a compass laid over the clock, CP3 points east. Jesus came in the flesh in the region we call the Middle East, died among transgressors and rose on the third day. Isaiah’s prophecy says that “He was numbered with the transgressors” (Isaiah 53:12, NKJV).
Christian tradition often estimates Jesus’ age at death as approximately 33, although Scripture does not state His exact age. I have also observed the number 33 in the latitude of Mount Hermon. In my symbolic interpretation, these repeated threes point toward His death, resurrection and the reversal of what began with humanity’s fall. They are observations within the model, not claims that geography or the clock supplies an additional gospel.
The deepest centre of this clock study is not a number but Jesus Christ. The patterns of 3, 9, 15 and 21 become signposts in my research, yet Christ remains the Door, the One through whom salvation is found and the One to whom every interpretation must ultimately submit.
