This post records a dream from 20 December 2015 involving a small business that distributed financial assistance, large wings that emerged from my back, the freedom of flight, a beautiful woman covered in white and a confrontation with a demonic figure. The people, spiritual beings and events described below appeared within a dream. The account does not identify real people as demons, establish that I possess physical wings or prove that every detail carries a prophetic meaning. The Dream as I Remember It
I was with my brother Darius, and he dropped me at a place where a man owned a small shop. He appeared to do several different things through his business.
After my brother left, I watched the man conduct his business. He did not only sell things; he also gave financial assistance to people who appeared poor and wore dirty clothing. The source of this assistance seemed to be the government or another high place.
I then began playing with wings that I could bring out of my back at will. It felt as though it had been a long time since I had stretched out my beautiful, long wings. At first, they were difficult to bring out. Then the first few feathers sprouted, and the rest followed, growing rapidly out of my back like a fast-growing tree.
After playing with my wings, I willed them back into my body and made sure that my back looked normal again.
I looked towards the shop and saw all kinds of people lined up to collect their financial benefit from a dark-skinned man who appeared Indian to me within the dream. The people were grumpy, complained and seemed dissatisfied with what they received from the high place. They continued complaining until the last person had been assisted. The man became angry and, I think, called them ungrateful.
I was waiting for Darius to collect me, but he was late, so I began playing with my wings again. This time they emerged more quickly. Two onlookers were surprised and asked whether the wings were real and whether I could fly with them.
I said that they were real. I stretched them out fully and flew into the sky. It was joyful and freeing. It felt as though I had not used them for a long time in that dream world.
The onlookers were impressed. I came back down and began tucking my wings away. Then I saw a demon flying past as though it were searching for something.
Whenever I stretched my wings and then tucked them away, this dark and hideous figure flew past looking very angry. Eventually, it came closer to where we were.
By this time, a beautiful woman was with me. She had blonde hair, blue eyes and fair skin, and she was surrounded by a white covering.
We hid in a place that seemed absurdly exposed. It was as though the demon could smell our fragrance and see our glow. It found us and stripped the woman of her white covering, which made me angry.
Without fear, and with a feeling of irritation, I rebuked the demon in Jesus’ name. The ugly creature vanished. I was indignant that it had dared to enter my place when it had no right to be there.
The scene then changed into another dream.
How the Dream Moves
The dream begins with ordinary waiting and business. A man distributes assistance from a higher source, yet the recipients remain dissatisfied. The focus then moves to something hidden within me: wings that initially emerge with difficulty but become easier to use. Flight brings freedom and wonder, while the repeated appearance of the hostile figure introduces pursuit and opposition. The final scene brings vulnerability, protection and conflict together when the woman’s white covering is removed and I respond in Jesus’ name.
This progression may suggest a movement from provision to freedom and then from exposure to spiritual confidence. Yet the dream does not explain itself, so its symbols should not be forced into a single code.

Under Whose Wings We Find Refuge
The dream’s wings belonged to me, but the two passages attached to my original record use wings differently. Ruth 2:12 and Psalm 57:1 describe refuge under the wings of the Lord. Their language is a biblical picture of God’s protection and shelter; it does not teach that God has a physical body with feathered wings or that the dream’s wings had one certain meaning.

In both passages, the centre is not fascination with wings themselves but confidence in the One who shelters. The dream may invite me to ask whether the freedom I experienced in flight and the covering I saw around the woman both point beyond themselves towards dependence on God.
Authority in Jesus’ Name
At the climax of the dream, I did not defeat the hostile figure through my wings, beauty, flight or hiding place. I rebuked it in Jesus’ name. That detail places the final confidence in Christ.
Luke 10:17–20 records the disciples rejoicing that demons were subject to them in Jesus’ name, while Jesus immediately redirected their joy towards belonging to God. Ephesians 6:10–18 likewise calls believers to be strong in the Lord and to stand with truth, righteousness, faith, salvation, Scripture and prayer.
Spiritual-warfare imagery should not be transferred onto real people. A dream cannot prove that a person is a demon, is spiritually dangerous or has malicious motives. When there is concern about someone in waking life, it should be assessed through observable conduct, Scripture, prayer, wise counsel and appropriate practical safeguards—not through appearance, ethnicity or dream symbolism.
The wings brought freedom, but they were not the source of victory. The hiding place was exposed, and the woman’s covering could be stripped away, yet the hostile presence vanished when the name of Jesus was invoked. The deepest refuge in this dream may therefore be neither a visible covering nor a hidden gift, but trust in Christ Himself.
