My Daily Death

Many times I've listened and obeyed my flesh, but the Holy Spirit convicts me to not let my flesh rule but to let the Holy Spirit to rule my flesh. Because he respects my free will; he gives me this option to die daily. 

And I have been reminded; gently, to die to myself 'daily', and to pick up my cross. This means to me that I need to deny myself and my selfish desires and learnt behaviours of this world on a DAILY basis. 

The Holy Spirit then quoted this verse to me:

 "Then Jesus said to all of them, “If anyone would come after Me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow Me. "

I had to switch on my PC and type in these words to see which book of the Bible this verse belonged to and I found it word for word in Luke 9: 23.

He also reminded me that when anyone asks me for anything; I need to give; not for my sake; but for the sake of Jesus; being his ambassador on earth is SERIOUS business and misrepresenting him in any way births serious CONSEQUENCES. There's this spiritual ripple effect that takes place. Remembering how Ps Stewart from Freshwater Christian Church says in one of his sermons: "I may be the only 'bible', they read".

Once again, I heard this verse whispered into my ears:

" …and if someone forces you to go one mile, go with him two. Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you. "

Once again, I researched online to see which book in the bible this verse belonged to and I found it in Matthew 5: 41 -42. 

Reflection:

The world teaches us to not give to those whom we think have tricked us, abuse or misuse us. But God says to "allow" such to happen. Why? So that when we are being judged on judgement day, we won't have fault or an excuse to give.

39 But I say to you, Do not resist the one who is evil. But if anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also. 40 And if anyone would sue you and take your tunic,[a] let him have your cloak as well.41 And if anyone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles. 42 Give to the one who begs from you, and do not refuse the one who would borrow from you.

Love Your Enemies

43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbour and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. 46 For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? 47 And if you greet only your brothers,[b] what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same? 48 You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

God clearly states in his word the spiritual behaviour I need to show the world. Unfortunately, as I hear often in the news; those who claim to be Christ ambassadors end up hurting others because they've not learnt to die to their flesh; daily. 

So my generation has a lot of "spilt milk'', to clean and need to show the world the trueness of who and why Jesus disciples and followers are truly like. Sometimes it's not easy, but that's why he says to DIE to SELF, DAILY. Not every few days or few weeks or few months. It's a DAILY thing, just like how we brush our teeth daily. 

It takes time and effort to DIE DAILY, but it's easy. 

Prayer

Just pray. LORD, I allow the Holy Spirit to rule over my spirit and soul, that I may do what you want, not want I want and that my path before you aligns with your will. AMEN.

Extra thoughts

However; being sick after many years of good health makes it more challenging, my mouth just wants to remain shut and sleep. But then God can hear my hearts prayer so might as well pray inwardly. 

This is when I need to use other spiritual resources and brethern to come in for me, get them to pray for healing and protection. 

Menorah Experiment

While unpacking my study things I came across an old experiment I did with a Menorah ornament.

I can't remember sharing my results so here is an image. 

See how the Menorah itself is half a circle.Or we could say half a "bow". An indication of God's fire (from the candles which point towards heaven) and continuing towards earth.

Separation of the Iron and Mixed Clay

Had this revelation about Daniel's interpretation of Nebuchadnezzar's statue of ages.

The feet made of iron and miry clay. Mixed and will not cleave (stick) forever. Feet according to the armor of God symbolizes peace, this feet is mixed because the people will be mixed. This is so true everywhere. We are mixed nations but the separation has began, unrighteousness doesn't mix with righteousness. See how the feet of mixed clay and iron was peaceful for a time but this peace is of man it has many cracks and weak spots and thus the peace is revealed as piece, the kingdom will eventually break into pieces and be replaced by the solid rock (Jesus), where no crack or weakness is found and his kingdom will grow swiftly and everlasting. Amen. So it is said, so shall it come to pass.

Bible Verse: Daniel 2:41-43
41 Just as you saw that the feet and toes were partly of baked clay and partly of iron, so this will be a divided kingdom; yet it will have some of the strength of iron in it, even as you saw iron mixed with clay. 42 As the toes were partly iron and partly clay, so this kingdom will be partly strong and partly brittle. 43 And just as you saw the iron mixed with baked clay, so the people will be a mixture and will not remain united, any more than iron mixes with clay.

Reflection
We are globally mixed, nations coinciding together. As I look around I see many races and the obvious disapproval of how each race does things culturally. We were once united but this is separating because we are imperfect and fall short of God's glory. God is a God of detail and has revealed this detail for his goodness and because it is fitting for this time.

Coincidence or not

MY STEPS ARE ORDERED BY THE LORD. (Psalm 37:23)

It all started when I started writing up a photo compilation for a uni assignment. While searching on Pinterest for things of nature that make us say Wow or Awe! I saw an old post from my twin about a particular image with the shape of a cross, so naturally, and out of curiosity, I clicked on it and upon reading the information. Thought it worthy for my assignment.

The first thing I thought to myself: 'Somone got bored and decided to pimp up the cross.'

Well, this thought became debunked as quickly as I thought it when I read how this is the cell in our body that keeps our human structure intact and together. Without it, our human structure will fall apart.

It's the steel, the cement and the foundation of our structure just as the foundation of cement, and steel is to buildings.

So anyway, I decided to add this to my assignment and this is the final piece.

This morning while waking up, I decided to check my emails and saw some uploaded videos one being hubby's latest YouTube Tutorial.

I was about to put the phone down, I saw this video pop up mysteriously, the title got my attention so I decided to click on it.




Lo and behold, it was about this exact cell I added to my assignment! So I decided to share it to my friends on Facebook. However; hubby being experienced with YouTube mentioned how FaceBook and YouTube are not friends and therefore any YouTube video will be blocked if shared.

So, hubby advised to add the video to a blog and then share it. So here I am taking my man's advice.

I hope you are as awed and amazed as me.

I'm sure, my LORD lead me straight to this and I'm sure this is meant to be shared peacefully and not forcefully. We need to remember, if God respects the free will of mankind, then we must respect the decisions of those who don't believe.

And finish this blog post, remember how in God's word he says in Colossians 1: 16-17

16For in Him all things were created, things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities. All things were created through Him and for Him. 17He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.

Possible to see God

There are those who claim that it's impossible to see God. However; God's word says other wise and Jesus himself says it's possible.

Here are some bible verses that prove this.

Exodus 24: 9-11
9 Then Moses, Aaron, Nadab, Abihu, and the seventy elders of Israel climbed up the mountain.
10 and they saw the God of Israel. And there was under His feet as it were a paved work of sapphire stone, and it was like the very heavens in its clarity.
10There they saw the God of Israel. Under his feet there seemed to be a surface of brilliant blue lapis lazuli, as clear as the sky itself.
11 But on the nobles of the children of Israel He did not lay His hand. So they saw God, and they ate and drank.

They clearly saw God. From reading this verse it's like they had a dinner party with the creator. 

Matthew 5: 8 KJV Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

It is clear, anyone with a "pure" heart shall see God. Cannot get any clearer than that.

So if people who claim to see God who doesn't change in his ways say they did. Then they probably did and are pure in heart.

Only the impure will get jealous and do what they do best. Exhault themselves by blaspheming against the pure hearted with negative and destructive words. 

If God who doesn't change decides to show himself to them, then we shouldn't be jealous but rejoice. He showed himself in the past and is showing himself in the present.

Let's not put him in a box and think we are in control because we are not. God is in control, he does what he wants and there's nothing we can do about it. He is Adonai and the all powerful one who created the heavens and the earth. 

Old Resolution for Another New Year 2017

New Year's resolution used for years and continuing.

Don't complain or argue when I work (Phil 2:14), do everything diligently and fullheartedly ( Proverb 10: 4, 12: 24), help others secretly whenever I can (Mat 6: 4), accept reprove from those who care and discern the difference of judgement and reprove (Proverbs 9:7-8 & 17:10). Don't seek attention (Proclaim to all fasting times or speak idle words especially when people didn't ask; this is one of the signs of having a Jezebel spirit).

Be consistent in everything; small things do matter like exercising, eating healthy, spending time with God, child, family. Remember private battles will determine my public war. Don't associate myself with angry, lazy, uncontrolled, negative people or I will learn their ways and set a trap for myself (Prov 22:24).

Remember Violent people respond with violence, loving people respond with love, positive people respond with optimism, hopeful people respond with hope, Godly people respond with Godliness (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness and self-control).

Knowing I have the fruit of the Holy Spirit:
- Love: This shows in my daily actions
-Joy: My joy comes from Jesus, no matter what situation I'm in. The moment I stop praising him I've come out from under his wings.
- Peace: that passes all understanding even in times of difficulty.
- Patience: Be patient with unsaved family, friends, acquaintances.
- Kindness: show kindness even when they don't deserve it.
- Goodness: Doing things with good intentions not wanting to receive or gain something in return...I think.
- Gentleness: No violence, no idle words, no negative speaking, no harshness, no judging.
- Self-Control: Most important, if I can't control my bodily desires, how can I control other things. Bodily desires like overeating. Self discipline in exercising. Being consistent, diligent in work, and deeds.

Small things matter in this matter. People are looking at the lights, we are the lights. God says let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. - Matthew 5:16 ESV

Don't act like a caterpillar when I'm a butterfly. 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!

This is what Jesus meant by putting on our cross daily. In Matthew 16: 4 Then Jesus said to his disciples, "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.

Things to be consistent about:

- Physical healthy lifestyle to glorify my body for God's sake. He gave my body and since he says it's his temple why be harsh to it?
Treat my body with consistent exercise, consistent healthy eating, and consistent discipline.

- Spiritual health: Doing things half heartedly isn't diligent. Focus on spending time with God morning and night even if it's just admiring and giving him glory for all the wonderful things like food on the table, a beautiful bird he created, family, friends and the list goes on.

Make sure I listen to him just as much as I speak/pray. He speaks in the most unusual and usual things/methods.

- Be diligent with my uni studies, patience is a virtue and a fruit of the Holy spirit, so even though I feel like my graduation day is still few years away, remember Jacob worked 14 years because he loved his Rachel. He went through all sorts of deception from his father-in-law during those years.

- Driving, with faith according to the measure God has given me increase my driving locations like Munno Para or Elizabeth for 2017. I can refocus on other locations as I go along or how the Holy Spirit leads me.

- Environment. The earth belongs to God as says in Psalms 24. As God's child I should be caring more and teaching others about caring for the earth. How? Put more effort into "organising Clean Up Australia Days".

Volunteer time into planting trees and biodiversity.

- Personal Goals:

• Isabella, spending more time with her, teaching God's word, helping her with homework, school festivities, events, violin lessons. Encouraging her in her strengths and areas of improvements and teaching her, her limits.
• Archery, aiming to join a local club and see where God takes us from there.
• Writing Children's books and spreading God's word through it. By the end of December I should have saved enough cash to pay for a publisher Xilibris.

• You Tubing: Support Luke as his assistant for his YouTube Channel. Never stop tithing, praising, and showering words of encouragement. Help him when he needs help especially with administration duties.

• Communicate with family more often through viber, Facebook, or email. The occasional snail mail shouldn't hurt.
