MAP OF GOD'S THRONE ROOM HIDDEN IN OUR COLOUR WHEEL

Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age. Also he made him a tunic of many colours.  - Genesis 37: 3

This one verse has been revealed of its symbolic meaning by the Holy Spirit last night (15 August 15 around 11pm) as I was reading one of my books: Panorama of the Old Testament(A3 size) from Koorong, I think the Holy Spirit revealed the continuation of how the scriptures is all about Jesus from the verse in yesterday’s entry.

You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of me. – [Old Testament]
                                                                                                                        - John 5:39

As I was pondering about Joseph, it dawned on me that Joseph is symbolic for Jesus where both were beloved, rejected, exalted [learnt from Learn the Bible in 24 hours; hour 15, slide 25/37, by Dr Chuck Missler], however; the significance of the coat is always “overlooked”.

As I wondered what is so significant with this coat… then it hit me like the rise of the sun…the coat resembles how Jesus “died” for us all. The many colours represents the many nations and also the many sins in which he died for us!

I know that God is light/ Jesus is light and out of him we were created in his image therefore, we have all his “gene” colours!

Also from research, I’ve discovered there’s a thing called a prism, when “white” light shines through it…the colour of the rainbow is released!

As I was reflecting on this prism effect (the glass needs to be cut in a certain angle for this effect to work…which signifies that we need to study God’s word in a “certain angle” to find his hidden treasures in his word)…I was also hit (Epiphany) with the rainbow cycle.

It’s clear that a rainbow is around God’s throne as it says in Revelation 4: 3 “And the one who sat there had the appearance of jasper and ruby. A rainbow that shone like an emerald encircled the throne.

It’s exciting to see how God is a God of colour and I won’t be surprised if/when in the spirit realm…we are noticed by our colour calling! Or “gifts” from the Holy Spirit which obviously when Jesus shines in us brings forth “colour”.

1 Corinthians 12: 10-1110and to another the effecting of miracles, and to another prophecy, and to another the distinguishing of spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, and to another the interpretation of tongues. 11But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually just as He wills.

It’s so clear, God used the rainbow as a sign of his promise to Noah to never flood the earth but later it will be destroyed by fire!

I’ve also learnt (from John Paul Jackson) that just as we see in the above picture about the 24 elders sitting around God’s throne from the book of Revelation 4…when we look from a sky/angel/heaven view…these form the 24 colour wheel!?!?!

As I take a closer look and ask myself: “What is the significance of the colour wheel?” The answer: “It reflects God who is white light in the middle and his 24 elders around him” with the rainbow around him to make sure that we “see” his finger prints everywhere!!

Lesson learnt?

Search for God’s finger prints in the bible because Jesus testify that all scripture is of him…and in nature and in my life…if he can easily hide his throne room structures in our colour wheel …in plain view…then there must be signs from him that he is around…or has already planned our lives…we just need to look for his prints and give glory and rejoice in his wonderful works!! SO EXCITING!!!

Which brings to question another thing…maybe that’s what he meant by saying that his works speak of him.

Psalm 104:24
How many are your works, LORD! In wisdom you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures.

Proverbs 3:19
By wisdom the LORD laid the earth's foundations, by understanding he set the heavens in place;

Job 28:23
God understands the way to it and he alone knows where it dwells,

I wonder when God says for us to study his word he’s like waiting excitingly to see if we’ll find his finger prints such as the Colour wheel and the rainbow…oh and I wanted to add as well that when we look from an aerial/ sky/heaven view at a rainbow… we will see a circle…a circle is a symbol for “new beginnings".

 What this teaches me is that when I see half a rainbow on the ground in heaven God see's the full rainbow. Meaning he see's the full picture while my mere mortal eyes will only see the half picture.

Fixing my Gaze

 "Let your eyes look straight ahead;   fix your gaze directly before you. Give careful thought to the paths for your feet   and be steadfast in all your ways" -  Proverbs 4: 25-26

This verse just popped into my head and heart tonight as I thought of the little things that were discouraging me lately.

 I think there's a verse in the bible that says that the 'eyes gives light to the body' (Matthew 6: 22 "The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light.) and I am beginning to realise how important our eyes are...not just how useful it is physically but also emotionally.

What we see contribute alot to how we feel after viewing certain things and people. The above verse came into my mind as I got a bit discouraged from alot of things my eyes had seen that would have been better had my eyes just not strayed there and alot of it of course has to do with people.

Most issues revolve around people have you noticed? lol.

The above verse is a lesson I want to learn and put into practise because if you think about it, if we fixed our gaze directly before us (on God, our dreams, tasks, etc) instead of people and situations, we wouldn't really have to think about people and situations too much especially when it can get discouraging and daunting.

 Sometimes I get discouraged on the ship when my gaze strays to people and situations. If I pass a girl in the corridor and she rolls her eyes, it makes me wonder what's wrong with me instead of praying for her that God would work with whatever issues she has...obviously she has one, lol.

It also makes me evaluate my actions towards people and how I treat them.

 The hardest thing to do is to treat someone who doesn't treat you nice or well. Even though we are on a Christian ship, we are all sinners and therefore, will behave sinfully many times but we are sinners saved by grace so I am trusting that God's grace in me will work through my sinful attitude, behaviour and actions and love those who may hurt me with their sin.

Being transparent and honest with God and with myself helps me shed the weight and though it is painful, it is freeing. Having this freedom allows us to be who we were meant to be, to love how we're meant to love & to serve how we're meant to serve - with open hearts, open hands and open lives.

Getting a New Perspective

Why do people write blogs? who reads them anyway right? A quote from Columbine High School martyr (Rachel Scott):

I write:

Not for the sake of Success
Not for the sake of Fame
Not for the sake of Glory
But for the sake of my Soul

So I write :) even if no one dares to read.

After 15 months on board the Logos Hope ship, we had a Get Perspective Seminar & Life Direction training seminar. we took lots of personality tests (excerpts from one of Tim Lahaye's books). It was AMAZING to see myself on paper. That's how it felt like. You can know yourself in your head and your mind BUT sometimes when it's expressed externally either on paper or by someone who observes you, you realize WHO YOU ARE again! I am blown away. Sometimes God needs to remind us of who we are so we can see who he is and all that he can do. During the intermission's in our sessions, we got some 'quiet reflection' times to just pray, journal, answer test questions etc and that solitude time was BEAUTIFUL! Here's some things that the tests revealed about me today:

My Natural Gifts (the top 4) :

* Artistic (Creator)
* Conventional (Organizer)
* Enterprising (Persuader)
* Realistic (Do'er)

My Spiritual Gifts (Top 3):

* Faith
* Wisdom & Creative Communication
* Helps, Intercession & Knowledge

Surprise! Surprise! :)

When Bethany Hamilton's arm was bitten off by a shark at age 13, she later asked her youth leader why God was allowing this and why this would happen to her. Her youth leader told her that she didn't know and she didn't have all the answers but what would really help was to get 'A New Perspective.' Later, Bethany went to Thailand with World vision to help the victims of the Tsunami. This helped her see from a new perspective that though she had lost her arm, she still had other parts of her body and wasn't dead. Though the Thai people had lost their homes, belongings and even friends and relatives, they were still alive! Sometimes getting a new perspective helps.

Faith alone isn't enough, doing things with no faith is sin.

Source: Ps Ted Evans / Face Book Post
Do Not Cause Your Brother to Stumble
22The faith which you have, have as your own conviction before God. Happy is he who does not condemn himself in what he approves. 23But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because his eating is not from faith; and whatever is not from faith is sin.
Cross References

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that comes …

Romans 14:5
One person considers one day more sacred than another; another considers every day alike. Each of them should be fully convinced in their own mind.
Titus 1:15
To the pure, all things are pure, but to those who are corrupted and do not believe, nothing is pure. In fact, both their minds and consciences are corrupted.

Personal reflection

I found the above picture from Facebook post by my current church - Influencers North, Ps Ted.

This verse also relates to Hebrews 11:6 and has meaning to me because sometimes I don't have faith to do things like for instance; driving and how I need to realise that when those who [with good intentions] encourage me to drive they should also realise the seriousness of forcing me to 'sin' because I have no faith in this area... not because of fear but because of cultural differences.

I grew up with an environment where driving was only done by the rich and cars were not a necessity. We walked everywhere that was close, occasionally taxi's were hired or buses were caught.

The roads are two lanes, however; here in Australia there can be as many as six lanes and the road rules and safety regulations are more intense and serious here so ... driving is still not a necessity because I have a husband who loves driving and catching the bus is more easier for me.

Anyways, this verse teaches me that when someone doesn't have the faith to do something, I should never force them by quoting scriptures about how 'fear' is not of God but to have an understanding about the different cultural backgrounds.

To reflect upon James 2: 17, if I have faith but do not act then there's no fruit bearing which means it is also pointless to have!

So if I have faith...I should act. I appreciate and know that there are those who pray that my faith increases in this area but till the day comes...I will not drive until I have faith to do it and when I have faith to do it, I will drive.

Sometimes we also need to consider that some general things in this world like driving may not be for others.

God has a different call/colour on each person some are general some not so. So lets not force our brethren to do things they were not meant to do while on this earth. If I can survive without driving then obviously it isn't important but a convenience.

Basking in the Sun results in Bright Blooms

How does this apply to me being in connection with God/Jesus Christ/ Holy Spirit?

One day, my hubby and I went to buy some flowers to hang in hanging pot plants from Bunnings Hardware store in Munno Para.

(Picture below)

As we came home, I hung this flower (Federation Daisy: Sublime Pink) in the back yard in a place that sheltered it from direct sunlight.

Anyways, as I was admiring this flower for a few days, it was brought to my attention that some of the new blooms were lighter coloured then the ones that were already blooming when we bought it.

At first I didn't know what to think, then as I dwelled upon the possibilities of why this was so, it dawned on me!

This plant needed the full sun for it's flowers to be be bright purple.

Then I realised that without the sun the flowers will still bloom but will not look as colourful!

I think after this realisation, the Holy Spirit said that this is like me...as a daughter of his I need his sun[son] daily so we can bloom as bright as he and when we are undercover or not in connection with God we still grow...but not as bright as we should.

Personal lesson learnt. Keep my connection with God and heaven so I can shine colourfully just like him.

1 John 1: 5 This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.
